**Top line:** The breakup of Accell's German business split two ways over the weekend. Bike Tree GmbH, a new unit of Singapore-based Tri Star/DuTech, signed an asset deal on Oct. 29 for the Haibike and Winora brands, inventory, selected equipment and know-how from insolvent Winora Staiger. Operations stay in Sennfeld, Germany, with 87 employees, but 73 jobs are being cut; Winora Staiger had 187 staff when proceedings began, and closing is expected in early November. Ghost-Bikes and parts distributor Engelbert Wiener Bike Parts were left out, and their insolvency proceedings were set to open Nov. 1 with no buyer announced. DuTech already bought Batavus, Koga and Carqon from Accell in October.
