Who I Am

Hi, I’m Jeff. I split my time between Denver, CO, and Jackson Hole, WY. This blog serves as a space to share my thoughts, projects, and the occasional deep dive into whatever i’m curious about or excited about.

Professionally, I build companies, products, and systems that actually work. My background spans finance, technology, energy, and the outdoor industry. I founded Rali in 2025 to bring real (outdoor) racing to hardware people already own, we’re currently at seed and aiming for a formal launch in 2026. I started GuideRail in late 2024 alongside my favorite human (my pops) to blend our skill sets into an advisory CFO and forward deployed engineering practice with focus on machine learning and AI. The combination of a finance brain with technical ability has a potent effect with respect to improving margins, driving revenue, gaining powerful insights and simply getting (a lot) more done with less effort.

I often post about the outdoor industry, which has been a lifelong passion and something I plan to stay involved with for decades.

I am unabashedly a huge nerd for all things computer science and am continuing my education through UT Austin’s postgraduate program in AI and machine learning. If you want my CV – just head to LinkedIn, here.
